MACHINE HEAD Guitarist To Judge 'Riff & Destroy II' Competition At UK's DOWNLOAD Festival
May 16, 2008Jackson guitars will be back at this year's Download festival for another round of brutal guitar mayhem. The Jackson Experience will be at the festival which is held at UK's Donington Park from Friday, June 13 to Sunday, June 15. It will be a haven for guitar fans who will get the chance to experience the thrill of unleashing their fury on a savage Jackson guitar.
Jackson staff will be on hand to help, beginners will get to play their first chords and metal riffs on the Jackson guitar stations, and more experienced players get to join in too.
Festival-goers will have the chance to get up in front of the cameras in the Riff & Destroy II competition, and perform their most metal riff in the most extreme Download style that they can muster up, each day five finalists will be picked by the Jackson panel and the live final on Sunday, June 15 will be judged by Jackson signature artist Phil Demmel from MACHINE HEAD.
The lucky finalist will win a signed Jackson Demmelition King V guitar signed by Phil Demmel himself and a lesson in riff assault!
